*A good post & equally good followup. This is the element that is sorely lacking with everyone (not that I blame them or us)because at times Rs. 5/- takes Rs. 500/- of your earnings away. However, whenever you can, one should always see a consumer issue to its logical conclusion. Keep it going mate.

Thank you for dropping by and leaving your comment. Yes, it's not always feasible to follow up and get the issue resolved. But, if people just take the steps and spread awareness it would benefit us ourselves. That was my main motive behind this post. Even a step taken by a few of us can benefit a lot more people.

*Nice read. I am too a victim of useless Callertune services by Tata Indicom. Had a real strong fight for almost 45 mins with the officials. They activated the callertune on their own. I didnt asked for it. And when they said about how to delete it by sending an SMS, which I did, changed the song of the callertune to another one instead of deleting it. One more verbal fight is in progress... :-|

Fighting with these service providers can prove to be a big headache.
One advice I can give you is, to get as much done in writing as possible. That means you have a proof to show out in case you decide to file a complaint in consumer forum.
Secondly, keep things polite as possible. No point in going against them as it will make your fight harder when they retaliate.
